Content policy and copyright
Draft, pending legal review. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Not allowed
- Any sexual content involving minors, or childlike figures, in any style. We report it to the authorities.
- Sexually explicit models of anyone, and sexual or demeaning models of real people.
- Likenesses of real people without their permission, including public figures.
- Firearms, working firearm parts and weapons meant to injure, and anything illegal to make or print where you live. Clearly non-working display props and fantasy weapons are fine.
- Content that promotes hatred of a group, harasses someone or threatens violence.
- Work that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
Reporting
Every model page has a "Report this model" link, including models shared only by link. Reports go to our team. Three separate reports hide a model from the community until we have looked at it. When we remove a model, its page, files, previews and remixing stop working.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If a model infringes your rights, send our agent: your name and contact details; the work you own; the link to the model; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act; and your signature.
Designated agent: [NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS: owner to register with the US Copyright Office], [email protected].
If your model was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, the link, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court, and your signature. People who repeatedly infringe will lose their accounts.
The open library
Library models come from open collections and museums, with the creator, source and licence shown on each page. If you are a rights holder and want something removed, write to us with the link: we aim to act within two working days.
